GM Coachwork Big Bus Brainstorm Competition Terms and Conditions

  1. Organiser
    The competition is organised by GM Coachwork (the “Organiser”), located at Teign Valley, Trusham, Newton Abbot TQ13 0NX . 
  1. Eligibility
    2.1. The competition is open to schools in the United Kingdom only.
    2.2. Entries must be submitted by a teacher or authorised school representative on behalf of students.
    2.3. Individual entries from students without school authorisation will not be accepted.
  1. How to Enter
    3.1. Schools must register for the competition by completing the online registration form by 31st December 2024.
    3.2. Once registered, schools will receive a printable design sheet for students to use for their submissions.
    3.3. Completed designs must be submitted by 30th May 2025 via email or post. 
  1. Entry Requirements
    4.1. Designs must adhere to the theme of the competition: “Design Your Dream School Minibus.”
    4.2. Submissions may be hand-drawn or created digitally.

4.3. Designs must be submitted on the design sheet provided by the Organiser.
4.4. Each school may submit multiple entries, but only one entry per student is permitted.
4.5. Entries must be the original work of the student and should not infringe on any copyright or intellectual property rights. 

  1. Judging Criteria
    5.1. Entries will be judged based on creativity, originality, and adherence to the competition theme.
    5.2. Artistic ability will not be a factor in the judging process.
    5.3. The judges’ decision is final, and no correspondence regarding the outcome will be entered into.
  1. Prizes
    6.1. The winning school will receive £1,000 worth of sports equipment or the cash equivalent.
    6.2. Prizes are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or alternative items.
    6.3. The winning school will be announced by the end of the summer term in July 2025.
  1. Intellectual Property
    7.1. By submitting an entry, schools grant the Organiser a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, and display the designs for promotional and marketing purposes.
    7.2. The intellectual property rights of the designs remain with the students and their schools.
  1. Liability
    8.1. The Organiser accepts no responsibility for entries that are lost, damaged, or delayed during submission.
    8.2. The Organiser is not liable for any issues arising from participation in the competition or the use of the prize.
  1. Data Protection
    9.1. Personal data collected during the competition will be used solely for the purpose of administering the competition and will not be shared with third parties.

  1. General
    10.1. By entering the competition, schools agree to these Terms and Conditions.
    10.2. The Organiser reserves the right to amend or cancel the competition at any time without prior notice.
    10.3. These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
