Electric School Minibuses Perfect for Inner-City Schools

The new Ford e-Transit 16-seat minibus, exclusively from GM, features a powerful 68 kWh motor with 184ps. It boasts an impressive range of up to 196 miles (pre-conversion) on a full charge and a quick charging time of just 34 minutes, making school trips hassle-free. The eTransit is also compliant with low-emission zones.

Designed with schools in mind, its interior includes a level floor with a wipe-clean, non-slip coating for safety and durability. The rear cabin offers 13 seats with all-age safety belts, opening side windows, LED lighting, and two emergency exits. For wheelchair access, the eTransit can be converted to include four removable seats, an electric passenger lift, and space for two wheelchairs, maintaining a total capacity of 13 seats.

For alternative options, the eBoxer minibus from GM Coachwork is available in two wheelbases with up to 15 seats and a range of up to 154 miles. It can be driven all day within ULEZ areas and offers a wheelchair-accessible version with removable seats and a passenger lift.

The eDeliver9, developed by GM Coachwork and Maxus, offers zero emissions and a range of up to 220 miles, ideal for inner-city transport. It charges in just 45 minutes.

Lastly, the Citroën eSpacetourer, a compact 9-seater, seats 8 passengers plus the driver. It offers charging times from 30 minutes to 28 hours, with a range of up to 148 miles, making it perfect for school needs.
